As a new build the chalet exceeds the traditional levels of insulation associated with mountain properties. The internal space is slightly pressure positive meaning that the warmth of the inside is trying to get out rather than the cold get in. Draught free and heated by underfloor heating (electricity in France is either renewable or nuclear) sustainable credentials are enhanced with an air source heat pump for the hot water.
Alpine water is so delicious that we encourage drinking Tap water; if aerated water is more your thing then there is a soda stream to provide unlimited quantities of fizzy water without endless plastic bottles.
There are no tiny shampoo and shower gel bottles filling the bathrooms in Cerf Rouge; we provide large dispensers which are refilled each week (as a bonus they contain L'Occitaine products.........)
Laundry is undertaken by a lady in Meribel keeping it local, and although a mid week towel change can be arranged it is not a standard inclusion
Finally, we are proud of our location in Meribel village, so much so that we believe not needing a "slope delivery service" is something of which to be proud - the short walk downhill in the morning to the Golf chair warms up the muscles and helps to reduce the constant flow of mininbuses associated with some other chalet companies. We do however recognise that ski school can be a rush in the morning (especially with juniors) so as an extra our local taxi can be pre booked for the week to deliver and collect both in the morning and afternoon.
